We were in Utah this last week, and our neighbor called to tell us that our pipes burst and that there was 2 inches of water in our whole first floor. By the time we got home, our awesome neighbors and friends had gotten all the water out, and pulled up our carpet. Now we're trying to get a plumber here, and fix all the damage. Here are a few pictures, I'll post more after we get new carpet, and new tile, and new cabinets... hopefully a new couch...
This is a picture taken from standing in the garage looking at the wall going into the house. Luckily the garage stayed pretty dry.
The whole hvac system and vents under the house will need to be replaced. I'm so glad we have insurance! This really hasn't been too awful, I really wanted new carpet, and everything is going really well to get our house put back together. Quinn has this week off work, so it came at a good time. My parents have been great with keeping my kids for us while we're fixing everything, and Quinn and I have had a great get-a-way, with just the two of us. We got to stay in a hotel last night, and have breakfast in bed. Life is rough.
